Denmark 13 -15 Nov 2005

Next morning, from Aalborg drove down to Torsminde via Hobro, Viborg, Holsterbro and up again to the coast. Today was the day Denmark was hit by storm. Bloody cold and windy.

Torsminde is a protected harbour with a typical breakwater protecting the fishing boats within the harbour. Dredging is done year round to prevent the opening from being covered by sand.

We then drove south along the coastal road towards Sondervig where our test site is.

Walking backwards towards the sea. Can't walk facing the sea as it was too painful the sand pricking your face

Goofing off in front of the restaurant in Sondervig. It's not that cold(painful) once you're not hit by the wind (and sand)

They have a Rock n Roll Museum here too!!!

If you like fish (any fish), this is the place to eat. You can even bring your own fish and ask them to cook it for you.

After dinner drove down to Bilund to catch our flight to Copenhagen. Billund is Legos are made. By the time we got there, the shops were closed. They sell them cheap too, compared against Copenhagen.

Lifesize R2D2 made from Lego. Also have Darth Vader and Boba Fett

Dr. Jan met us at the airport in Copenhagen and drove us down to our hotel, The Esplanaden, which is close to the Royal Palace (two blocks down only). A real upmarket place and very arty-farty. Went to a pub that night with Dr. Jan, Chain & wife. Tony and Louise joined us later. My Fanta costs more than a local beer!

A GS500 outside the hotel. GS500??? Who rides them nowadays?

It was here that snow fell when we were having lunch in one of the restaurant. Yay!! Snow at last.

Night time again was to the pub, a different one this time. After that, walked around Copenhagen on my own at Istegade (heh heh...you know la what kind of place right??)in the bloody cold.
